I think I had two of those props in my cart and missed out too. I run the seaking 180 in my popeye. It cant handle 6s without soft takeoffs. 1616 abc prop.

I tried to upgrade to the 120A Spektrum ESC and figured out the hard way that the outrigger motor doesn't play nice, so I got the motor you had, and your machining tips for the motor mount are super helpful. Good work! But I'm not sure that it matters whether or not you drill into the cooling system for the motor mount since the new motor has a cooling jacket and the mount isn't used for water cooling anymore if you upgrade to the new motor?

Well...I followed your link and bought the BJ24 ! Hope you get a few bones from Proboat for your channel ! Watching your videos renewed my interest in RC boats. I drug out my old Aquacraft Super Vee 27. It's still in mint condition. I think I will update it of course with new tx rx to 2.4ghz ( it's 75mhz now lol ) new ESC so I can run LiPo's at 4s etc etc... It will be a money pit, but I'll have a bunch of fun, and that's what it's all about right ? I have a small house on a Lake with my own dock that is 10 minutes away from home , so I definitely NEED to have RC boats to play with ! Keep up the great work, I can't wait for more vids !

Hey brother, glad to see that you've stayed so solid with the videos. I kind of dipped out of the boat game for a little while as I was heavy into planes. But, my interest is coming back. I just revamped my UL 19. I'm ready to get this new blackjack 24v2 should I get the smc5000s at 292 g or the 6500s at 353 g. The recommended spectrum 5000 battery weighs 340 g. I don't have the proper batteries for this so I want to get the batteries ASAP as my local hobby store has the boat already

Love your Helper! The 3 blade props I'll be excited to see, I was eyeballing those 1717s but I opted for the 2 SK . The seaking 180 I'll be curious to see if you get amp cut around 3.95v. I tested my caps yesterday and it seemed to fix that issue. I'm excited for your future content bc it'll definitely help me with future prop orders!

I have the 180 seaking in my pursuit and I'm running a pretty big motor in it. I still haven't gotten a top speed with the motor because when the esc cuts out it runs in safe mode and you have to turn it off and back on to reset it. I hate that. Maybe there's some programming in can do to stop that but for a 180amp I find it weak so I don't know if it will hold up to the tp motor. I have just ordered an atomic cap pack for it and it's huge so maybe that will help. Bg4l

Big b you have changed my life with the rc boat stuff I got the out rigger kit to build an every thing so pumped up but the propeller was missing so how do I find the right one that will be good an that fits my shaft it's the only thing I have left to figure out

I always use a new razor blade for that but the tap never sticks for long unfortunately. I put some hatchlocks on my pursuit. It wasn't easy. It has a more rounded canopy and they have to sit in at an angle. So I made some angle brackets out of carbon fiber to hold the angle on the receiving end . It works but was not fun.

i wish my popeye had room for hatches. Maybe i could sneak some in the rear if i add more glass.

As far as cutting the foam insulation goes: cut to size before installing on the hatch step. Use a metal ruler to guide the blade. A new #11 hobby blade is all you need to make the cut. The ruler will insure an even cut along the length of the foam. Cut the foam side of the insulation - not the side with the backing tape. Easy peasy. Looks like the hatch step disappears at the front of the hull. Install a piece of foam insulation on the front of the canopy and you DUN. Cheers!

Great job you do unbelievable good work. I have been doing a lot of carbon fiber work. Tried different kinds of epoxy resin and when I put the final clearcoat on it looks great until it hits the water then it fills out, have any idea what that might be. Thanks

Bummer - dropped my DX4C transmitter and now my boats get about 20 ft away and die! I have close to 15 receivers programmed into the transmitter. I found a used antenna and hoping that cures the problem. I have purchased a second transmitter but hoping the antenna does the trick. The waiting for deliveries is the toughest part.

A brand new single sided razor blade will cut that foam tape nice and clean , the corners will be tricky to do cleanly though. Thanks again for making these videos, I'm looking forward to see this boat finished. Twin engine boats just sound awsome, gas ,nitro or electric all have that distinct sound!

Try a brand-new double edge razor blade.
